I went to check the humidity in my Hatcher and noticed on the bottom of one of the peachick eggs looked like there was an external pip but there was something on it. I gently moved it a bit and saw what looks like dried up yolk on that had leaked out. I candled it really quick and there was movement so I left it alone. At this point not where I should go from here, I can't say I've ever seen a chick pip into the yolk before. Please help!!

I'm going to be frank with you and tell you that with my experience of poultry pipping like this, the outlook is very grim.
I had a Guinea keet pip like that with leakage. It ended up being assisted. It had a neck deformity and couldn't walk. Always flipped on its back. It died overnight.

It could and can survive, but it may not. I've had chicks externally pip in all the wrong places before, including in the middle of the egg. From what I remember, they did survive.....not all of them, but most of them. Expect your chick to have some problems if it makes it out, as chicks like that generally do, however if he/she doesn't then that will be great.

As long as it’s still alive, it has a chance. What is concerning me is that the chick has seemed to broken the yolk, you can see the leakage on the outside, but I wonder how much yolk has been broken on the inside. There doesn't seem to be any blood, but again, it could be different on the inside.... which could be bad.

I wouldn't help, since there still is unabsorbed yolk. There isn’t a lot you can do at the moment, but, keep it peeping. If the chick peeps, it helps with absorbing the yolk sac. Just tap the egg lightly. Please keep us posted.

I will definitely keep everyone posted. I have tapped on the egg and did not hear any chirping. I'm really crossing my fingers, but trying not to get my hopes up especially since it seems like a slim chance. I have had done assisted hatches in the past, but ive never had one pip into the yolk which is very alarming to me. For now I plan on leaving it alone because again with the yolk being broken I would hate to cause more harm than good. We'll see by morning I would think.

So I just checked on the little one and there is no progress in zipping but there is still mo ement amd I can now hear chirping! I'm going to leave it alone for now and see what happens over the next several hours. I'm really crossing my fingers!!
