Help...Pekins still having leg problems

Great idea. But remember she needs some form of exercise that is why we rec water therapy even if for now she just floats it is taking pressure off her legs. And who knows when she may just start from floating to using her legs to move around.
She likes to swim so we will definitely keep doing that. Now the other hurt one...not so much, she just lays there the whole time. But hopefully she’ll or he’ll lol start liking it more.

Well the second duck isn’t getting any better, actually worse...
I’ve been out of town again for work and this is what he just sent me. Any ideas on what to do now?? It is painful for the duck when it’s moved.

Is the duck by itself? If not I would seclude it from the others. Give it rest if possible. It looks like it’s feathers are getting pulled out. It’s possible it’s getting picked on and exacerbating the leg issues. What do you think? Poor pumpkin.

They both were with the whole flock but he put the two injured together inside the garage this evening. We’re still giving them the vitamin B and the turmeric. We watch them a lot, the only time it would be getting picked on is at night when they go in their shed for bed. It’s still eating really good too. I just don’t know what to do...this breaks my heart.

I guess it could be the age of the duck and new feathers coming in, but normally they aren’t that bare.:(

If it’s a vitamin deficiency, it should get better. But there’s a chance something else is going on that we don’t know about. How old is it again?

This picture was taken March 29. TS was getting a new batch of ducklings and wanted to get rid of these so Tyler went and bought them all so they could stay together.

It might have still been damp from swim therapy. She just floats, she doesn’t want to move that leg at all.

Sure looks inflamed poor thing. Did you make the sling. that plus vitamins and turmeric may help. Like CayugaJana says it might be something else but hopefully all your doing will help.
