Help please! Angel wings?

Thank you so much for all your help! That chart is indeed very helpful and yet very scary. There are so many symptoms listed that I had seen in my ducks, from eye discharges to shaking of the head. At first when I had searched about the meaning behind this behavior, a lot had stated it was a natural behavior in dominance or "anger". I had shrugged off that behavior ever since, however if it was to be gape worms, than I would not be shocked that it had slowly developed into this state.

If that is the case, I shall try to get my hands on some amprolium immediately, however in the meantime, I'll follow your instructions on some buttermilk and using those flushing methods.

No unfortunately I have never wormed them, I have considered them getting wormed once before (just out of paranoia), but there had been no signs of any symptoms. However looking back now, the shaking of the head, the swallowing, gasping, coughing, most of the symptoms point to worms.

I believe I'm asking too much but what would you suggest to give them for worming?

Ahh thats right, I completely forgot about that section for the umpteenth time, I'll post there immediately!

If feasible, can you get the little guy to an avian vet or vet?

I thought my ducks had worms and almost used ivermectin- turned out they were molting.

Better to just rule out parasites/bacteria/infections/ and injuries before trying to manage it yourself. To be honest I haven't a clue what it could be :/
Some things that concern me is if he was bitten by something, injured and developed an infection, or ate something bad (poisonous or metal). There are far too many things.

This sounds weird but try smelling him, sniff around his body - an infection should produce a smell. Not necessarily a bad smell but different.

Keep us posted!

Unfortunately I myself am a bit sick so its a bit hard to smell anything as of the moment. The one time I need my sense of smell I dont have it.

But actually infection wise, there is a chance, recently like last month or so, he had somehow gained a massive cut on the lower side of the upper half of his bill (sorry about my explanatory skills), there had actually been a bump above the wound but because it was there on the day of injury I figured it couldnt possibly have been an infection since it would have developed so quickly. However him and my other drake tends to snap at each other quite often and sometimes I see him with small chuncks just disappearing from hil bill, there were also scratch marks so I figured he did them himself.

However lately its gotten a bit swollen? And soft at the very tip of the bill, just before the feathers start, he has a nice skin pink bill and the area above has got a darker colour right at the end, could this possibly be an infection? Also its a bit dry around that area, I've read that its normal in winter (which is the present season).
I dont know if this relevant however on top of his bill there is this slightly sunken in (as if dry) bit running down from his nostril to about 1.5cm from the end. Its orange by the way which is a bit odd.

And no unfortunately I havent got the money for parental support on the poor little guys, my parents dont really view them as pets in the house but rather pests. Though they got them for me, my mother didnt know they would live for so long, so she tries to not get involved.

Would worming them despite being the wrong diagnosis bring harm to them? Since we are unsure I am willing to try worming them however if it brings harm to them if they do not have worms, than I believe I am better off without it.

Also a day has passed and although I gave them food yesterday night (which they usually go crazy for to eat before bed) there was about 3/4 left. Although my other duck is definitely eating more, I believe there is something wrong with my other suck too, though his appetite still seems to be intact its not as big.

I'm worried because my first duck while still trying to eat food, is not actually eating anything but spitting it right out after, his moves have become very little and he no longer calls out or chases me. Poor little guy I hope he bounces back soon.

Also there has been an annoying rat running through out yard since a while back from the park behind, cause he have a play in this?

I'm sorry I haven't responded, my own duck presented a soft shell so I had to deal with that along with a colic horse.
My drakes bill does wierd stiff all the time - only the drake though. How is he doing now? Is he walking? Eating ok? What are you feeding them?
