p.s. When you say it fell from your ceiling....do you mean attic or somewhere where there might be an active nest with a mom? That might be his/her best chance.....(realizing of course that they need to move on after they are able!) .JJ

I know..they do! And the face also..
its confusing... they all resemble each other in some ways...

I just tried feeding him... used a tiny corner of sponge and dipped the end of it in the milk... he didnt really suck though...
I have a bad feeling about this...

I did wildlife rescue for 10+ years. I'm not quite sure what that is, but whatever it is, it needs your help at this point. And it's pretty darn cute!

I have used the, "scalded milk" recipe for YEARS and it is tried and true. Have raise squirrels, bunnies, etc on this with great luck! Anyhow, you will need only Vitamin D milk(they need the fat) and Vitamin E oil(you can buy this at walmart or any drug store in straight oil or capsules(which you'll have to break open). You can buy just a quart or pint of vit D milk---you won't need alot. Pour about a quarter cup of vitamin D milk in a mug/coffee cup. You place 1/4 cup of milk in the microwave just for 30 seconds to a minute until it gets lightly scalded(frothy/foamy at the top), then remove, squirt 4-6 drops of vitamin E oil in the milk and stir. Let cool for a few minutes and administer 1 cc every 4-6 hours. Use a syringe and ONLY drip on it's lips and wipe the nose if it gets in there(this happens often since they're so close together)! Do not push the tip of the syringe in the mouth as you can aspirate it. Then you will need to take a warm, wet wash cloth and gently rub it's genitals(I know, fun!), but this is VERY important. Mother's do this to stimulate the baby to pee and poop. Otherwise, they can become backed up which is deadly. You can keep the rest of the milk mix in the fridge for up to 3 days in a sealed container. Then make a new batch. FYI--They will pee much more often than poop. Feel free to PM me with any questions! a squirrel, grey, about 3-4 days old.

its too big to be a mouse or rat pup but at that age they all look very similar, a mouse pup would be about 1/2 the length of your thumb and a rat pup about 2/3rds, squirrel pups are about thumb lenght.
hes also too "round" to be a ratty pup, they tend to be slimmer, whereas squirrel babies have a much more rounded apearance in body and face.

unfortunatly squirrels under a week old are notoriously difficult to raise even for experienced rehabbers (its also very likley theres at least 1-2 more up there)
KMR (no human milk, cow milk is not easily digeastable, especially after pasturization. raw goats milk will work too but Kitten milk replacer (or KMR) is the best bet. (and probbaly easier to find than raw goats milk unles syou have a goat in milk) you can also find lots of recipies for kitten milk replacer online.
he will need to be kept warm, get him on a heat pad right away.

honestly though, given 1: the difficulty in raising baby squirrels and 2: the legal repercussions (true its unlikely there gonna come knocking on your door for 1 squirell..but....) id find a local rehabber to try and take this baby in.

i have a friend that does squirrels and has been raising squirrels and rabbits for over 20 yrs now as a state licensed rehabber, and even she says under 7 days old squirrels are very touch and go

personally i do muhc bigger animals lol, state lisenced for vector species so im nto as familiar with squirrels...but ive also raised many a litter of rat babies and can tell you its definatly not a rat or mouse lol
