Help please! Duck hurt can’t walk

Hes a moscovy duck and i dont think they are native unless your not in the US. I know in the US they are invasive. So if it heals id keep it

Poor sweetie. Pain meds will help him feel good enough to eat hopefully. I found out the hard way to really pay attention to how much a hurt duck eats. My buttercup wasnt eating and I didnt even know, she died in 3 days. Her sickroom pal was eating all the food. I should have been tube feeding her.

He surprisingly was eating and drinking good this whole time. So that’s a plus. And we are keeping him separate from our personal pet ducks. So sorry about what happened to your baby.

Yeah Muscovy’s aren’t native. There is a whole flock of them living in a pasture close to where I found him. But I don’t know if he will ever be able to fully take care of himself. So we do plan on keeping him.
