HELP PLEASE! Fused feet in a baby chick?

Hi everyone,
Thanks so much for the info! We had a very successful chicken foot "operation"! My husband numbed the foot with orajel and sterilized a small pair of scissors. I held the chick while he snipped the toes apart and we repeated on the other foot. We immediately applied neosporin on both and we kept him on a sheet of newspaper for a little while. We set him up his own separate box away from everyone else, but the chick whined and cried so as soon as the bleeding stopped (about 5 minutes) we put her back with the others and watched closely. Everyone acted normal and both feet are doing great and it's been a few weeks. She is the most active of our group and the best insect hunter. She is also the first to come to us and likes to be held. Success! Thanks all!!
