How are controlling the temperature and humidity. You can have minor fluctuations but I don't know how you will keep a hot water bottle at the temperature you need.

You will probably get many different answers but ideally the eggs should be kept at 37.5ºC or 99.5 to 100ºF and the humidity around 40% to 50%. for the first 18 days then the humidity should be raised to 65% to 70%.

Here is some good information.

yep sweet no worries
ok chick's take about 21-25 days to hatch, dont worry , your egg should be kept at around 37.5* you had it now for 2 days dont worrie , what you need to do is take it off the hotwater, bottle ,its a little chicken egg yep , so you need a small box , like a large food container plastic box , put a tray with some holes in so it comes about 1 and a half inches off the bottom this is where your going to put your egg on , the tray , in the bottom of the plastic box add some water about half an inch dont let the water come over the tray so the egg stay's dry ,if you dont have a little tray to put in it , use a small bowl of water in the corner of the box put the egg the other end on a dry small towel , you need to keep this box warm put the thermomitor in the box one like yr mum puts on your head to tell how warm you are , you can keep the box warm by either keeping it under a light but you need to keep an eye on the temp ok check every now and then , you need air hole's in the top of the box , 2 should to it maybe if you put a sealable lid on it you could keep one corner uncealed so that air can move about inside your hatcher , you need to turn the egg 3 or 4 times a day , in pencil mark the egg one side with x and the other with 0 so you can see which way you had it last time , dont candle the egg for a week , i know you want to lol maybe after a few days , im hatching about 30 ducklings at the mo lol , also does your aunt keep a male , a rooster or cockrel ? i liked the pic by the way , your doing ok i think the best box you could use for your chick is a large sandwich box if its thin put it inside a cardboard box and put scrumpled newspaper in the gap between the plastic box and the cardboard box this will make it nice and snug , the water in the bowl is needed to keep the air moist so the chick can hatch the egg shell ,
i wish you luck please write back i look forward to hearing from you angela

This is excellent advice. If you can get a small styrofoam cooler you can make an simple incubator. You do have to monitor the temp and humidity. Most hardware stores carry everything you need.

a lamp light kit and a 15 watt light bulb. I use a 15 watt with plenty of vent holes and a jar with a sponge for the humidity. I like to use the 15 watt as it will keep the incubator warm enough for incubating and hatching without cooking the eggs. Here is one I made. I did put a dimmer switch in it but you don't need to. I hope this is some help to you. Good luck and have fun!!!

The black tape is over holes. This helps adjust the temp and humidity too by either taking the tape off or put it on.

Here is another one I made.

Here are a couple of pictures a friend of mine took to illustrate turning the eggs.

Thanks for replying!! I have decided that I am not gonna make an incubator for this egg... BUT I will in the future when I get other eggs. I am gonna have this lil guy as an experiment. but I am nervous about a ring thing at the end of the egg. Is this the air sac? Is it good? day 4 now.

I don't know anything! All I have seen happen to my egg is like an air sac develop at day 4. I just use a hot water bottle for now. Later I will put him in a box for when he hatches though

That egg sac is always there, if you crack open an egg that you cook with, you will see it on the big end.
