Help Please..in The Middle Of Helping Duckling From Egg+NEW PICS

is there only 1 kind of niacin? i put a little bit(approx. 100mg) in a gal. of water/shuck it up real good, but it seems to leave little bits floating around, is this ok? i also have 500mg & divided it 5 ways so each gal. will have 100mg.(flush free niacin inositol hexanicotinate 500mg energy). ~ Thanks, Julie ~I'm up loading a few more pictures of the 1/2 hatched ducky eggs. They will be in my next post.

Make sure it is the correct niacin.
You want nicotinic acid.
You do not want inositol hexanicotinate, which is inositol that has been esterified with niacin on all six of inositol's alcohol groups. This one is usually sold as "flush-free" or "no-flush" niacin.

Julie- at this stage a multi vitamin may be more appropriate for these babies once hatched. They will likely need a boost in not just niacin- but a whole range of vitamins and minerals, due to the delayed and difficult hatching.

I ADDED A FEW MORE PICS OF THE EGGS.. Hopefully you will be able to get a closer/better look inside. ~DO YOU THINK THE DUCKIES ARE GETTING ENOUGH AIR/OXYGEN? ~The Egg on the Red Rag seems to be really the only Active one now & the white membrane which is hiding the duckling, Dries Real Fast in the bator..

}}}I HOPE THE EGG, WITH A LOT OF YELLOWISH COLOR CAN BREATH GOOD, IT IS NO LONGER VERY ACTIVE

IF You could maybe give me some info on what kind of vitamins & stuff like that, then that would be great. ~Thanks, Julie HELP.....THE EGG THAT HAS A LOT OF YELLOW ON IT, I THINK IS UPSIDE DOWN WELL, THE DUCK IS. I THINK THE ORANGE COLOR IS THE FEET & LEG. I CANT HEAR ANYTHING BUT THE BABY IS NOT AS ACTIVE NOW. DO YOU THINK IT IS STARTING TO SUFFICATE? ITS REALLY NOT AS RESPONSIVE. SAME WITH THE EGG THAT HAS DARKER COLOR DUCKY INSIDE I THINK THE FEET & LEGS ARE AT THE BIG PART OF THE EGG.. I ALMOST WANT TO PULL THE BABY OUT FROM IN THERE.

Egg number 2 in the photos - the one where you can see the duckling is very yellow- sadly it doesnt look good- no blood in the vessels- but as long as there is movement- that is still a good sign...but there is still more hope for a few others. I can see very large veins in the membrane of a few others - meaning the ducklings are still alive- but not yet ready to hatch.

I really think there i an issue with your temperature with them all being so late like this- you might need to get a second thermometer so you can calibrate the one you have.

As for vitamins- there are many different products you could use- what I have available to me here in Australia would be a different brand though.

You could try something like these... All have a good mix of different vitamins.
