HELP please! Internal pip 25 hours ago, no external pip

I really REALLY hate intervening like this. Is he ok for now? Going out for hygrometer now if it is safe to leave the egg. I know it takes days to hatch so I wasnt concerned until I read about suffocation. I have a problem with scaring myself via google.
He will be fine.. if you are worried the hole didnt go all the way through, use a thumbtack and poke it through the hole... youll feel better knowing for sure.;)

I think part of what you're seeing in the air cell is the beak, for sure. The other thing might be a foot - he might be malpositioned. But for now, just let him be, and if necessary we can do more assisting in 24 hours.

Oh no! Any chance of he is malpositioned he can move into the right position?? He wont dry out in 24 hours right? I seriously need to stop googling.

If he's malpositioned he's gonna stay that way. And no, he's in no danger waiting for 24 hours. You just need to make sure you keep the humidity up :)

Yes..stop googling, its too confusing.. ask your questions here and we can help. As time goes by we will reevaluate the situation, have you take pics, boil water, clean house, anything to keep you preoccupied in between further instructions for the egg...;)
Try to relax, its hard I know...:hugs

Thank you lol. It's not the waiting that makes me anxious, it's me always being concerned something is wrong. So I seriously need to distract myself lol

Im exactly the same...:lau
When my first goose was hatching I was a basket case. Poor Pyxis and Ravynscroft stayed up and talked to me all night.... and told me to do the same thing.. clean house, reorganize closets, anything to keep busy and they would tell me what to do next when it was time. You and your egg are in great hands. :hugs
But keep in mind.. even with all of the best help and advice, sometimes they just dont make it for resons unseen. Dont panic, cos itll most likely be fine. I just dont want you to think anything is foolproof....some things are beyond our control and help. But we will do our best to help get him here..:fl:fl:fl:fl:fl:fl:fl:fl:fl

I cannot thank you all enough. I'm freaking that he is malpositioned due to the shapes in the air cell like pyxis said could be the case, and not seeing any other peoples pics that look like mine. I really hope it doesnt cause me to lose him! I am on the way home with hygrometer, will update with humidity level asap!

With proper assistance malpositions do just fine :) So a malposition isn't something to panic about, and we'll walk you through getting him hatched if it comes to that.

You might want to get some supplies on hand just in case - some coconut oil and some cotton swabs, and a pair of tweezers.

Even if he is, Pyxis has dealt with it herself and knows how to help you help him...:hugs
