Help !!! Please Isa Brown black spots on comb..sick

I agree that it looks like fowl pox. My flock had it earlier this summer. Usually it will just run its course and go away, and then they will be immune. Comes from mosquito bites. Separating her is not necessary. Most likely, you will see it on some of your others as well.

Use Neosporin or a similar antibiotic ointment around the eye lesions, as this is not irritating to the eye. If you have an antibiotic ophthalmic ointment to use in the eye, that is even better.

The two things that can go wrong are, they can get the wet type, in their mouth and respiratory tract, or they can get a secondary infection of the head/face if the pox lesions are extensive enough and/or get infected.

Well, it is contagious, they can get it from each others' lesions, but since it comes from mosquitos, they have probably all been exposed already. I didn't separate mine; some had it worse than others. I looked at it like we used to look at mumps and chicken pox: might as well go on and get it, then it's over with.

ok new prob , i just went to check on her and she sounds like she has a cold ..she sounds like when u have a pluged up nose ...and she is keeping her mouth open

i'm so worried about het she is my girl .gosh this sucks

Aside from the contagious aspect, if she's feeling ill she will recover quicker if you bring her in and let her rest with out worrying about getting picked on by the rest of the flock. You can monitor her closer and make sure she's getting adequate food and water. At least bring her in until she's looking and acting stronger and is eating well.
Just my personal opinion.

i have her sep from the rest of the girls and im gonna bing her in with me ,but worried about the sounding bad part now ..thank for your help and opinion ..i agree with you

I think fowl pox can be wet or dry or both...meaning with or without the head cold symptoms. Google fowl pox and read up on it. You won't have any trouble finding info. At least you are dealing with something they usually bounce back from and build up immunity for the future. This is viral, and aside from keeping her comfy and helping with her symptoms, it has to run its course.
