I just wanted to update everyone. This little chick is still doing well....a strong little one! The stuff that was hanging off his/her booty has dried up and fell off. Still a very active little baby and very LOUD! Keeps standing up to look out of the container at the other one that has hatched out! LOL! Too Cute! Thank you all for your help, your concern, and for your fast replies to my question! This is an awesome board! :thumbsup:love:D

Mine had unabsorbed yolk, I thought it was intestines (it wasnt), it was very red at first.
Look up how to make a cup-daiper for chicks to absorb the yolk... I can't think of a better way to word it, pretty tired here :p
But basically your chick needs time to absorb, and needs to be kept away from other chicks so that her rear doesn't get pecked at.
If you have any stop bleed, I would dab a little with a qtip if she is still bleeding.
Thank you for your help...1 day old and still going!
