I live in Jacksonville Florida, in a development and want to know if i can have chickens? I've search the web and keep getting contradicting answers. Anyone from Mandarin have chickens? I already ordered a coop and was getting ready for a purchase of chicks then came across that I needed to ask. Just thought two chickens wouldn't matter to anyone, they will be for eggs. But ya just never know. Anyone know?

Did you contact your county extension office? I'd call them as they will know or know who you can call/ask. If that doesn't work, try your county PVA (property valuation administration). The PVA office will not necessarily know, but they will likely know who you should call to find out.

Where I live, both my extension office and my PVA office are really helpful so if I was trying to answer your question for my county, I'd start with them and go from there.
