HELP!!!!
Somebody...ANYBODY....? Her nine lives are just about UP!
Symptoms....
Silkie Showgirl AGE:8 mon.
Puffed up, lethargic in beginning...diarrhea (lots of water with green clumps) too weak to stand. Not eating, noticed weight loss too in the beginning. Coop mate her roo died three weeks ago same symptoms. No runny nose respiratory prob.
She does sway her head from left to right slowly as if dizzy.....? Mine have done this before wish i knew what causes that!
Treatment so far: Tube feeding the mixture of chick crumble, yogurt, and applesauce-this is what has kept her alive. Given OXYTET 343 since Fri. thinking a gut infection.
*After i feed her food seems to stay in her crop too long.
Here's some other info- Sat after i had started oxytet she was showing an interest in food starting to eat on her own again some...and then late Sun down again...I am beyond knowing what to do to help her. I can't just pump meds in her and not know what's wrong!
I have wormer if it's that. I have Amprol. I have Sulfamet. I don't know what course to take. I have also seen Copper Sulphate used to treat Sour crop...don't know where to get on quick demand if it would help.
She is my last showgirl left. I had to go two states over to get her! HELP! PLEEEEEEEZE!
