my goose is about 2 months old and has developed a lump under his neck. I’m not sure if it’s male or female but it’s been eating and pooping normally. He doesn’t seem to be in pain. I’m worried and I’m not sure if this lump is normal. I got my goose from a pet store and I don’t even know what type of goose it is. Please let me know if he needs to go to the veterinarian

I grew up around parrots and everytime we hand fed the babies their crops would fill like this. This is how we knew they were full. I’ve also seen this in young swan. Seems normal to me :) but then again I’m new to chickens and have never owned a duck or goose. Keep us posted :)

I believe that is his crop. That is normal, as long as the bump disappears overnight when he’s sleeping. It should fill back up as he eats. If it is not emptying overnight , you will need to intervene and we can help you with that.
Thank you so much
