Yeah. You'll get every answer imaginable if you look enough. The damp paper towel is a great idea. Although 90% is higher than normal for a hatch, in this case it's good. Your other eggs should be fine at that humidity level for a while.

I thought it wasn’t good to lay eggs that are hatching on wet paper towels because it actually sucks the humidity out of the egg? @Texas Kiki ?

If you have coconut oil dabbing a little on the exposed membrane is a good idea.

Mind you, all of what I've experienced is with chickens, not ducks, so I could be blowing smoke out of my behind.

@chickens really hatches a lot of call ducks. Maybe she has better advice.

The other eggs are in a different incubator. The egg that is hatching was moved to a second incubator set to lockdown temps and humidity as it is due to hatch about 5 days before the others. The other eggs were incubated to accompany a lone duck egg that my daughter brought home from her college so are a bit behind. Long story

Good point. Maybe just put a moistened sheet in the incubator, but not physically touching the egg would help.

So do you think this would work instead of misting as I can’t find any kind of spray bottle I could use.

P.s. don't do what I did... in an attempt to raise the humidity in my incubator last year I added a small dish of water. Chick hatched, crawled into the dish and drowned.
