Help please!

I just moved my four week old chicks into a larger brooder.
For some reason the bedding that I bought is a lot finer than normal.
The chicks look like they are all EATING the bedding!!!
Should I go find bigger chip bedding?

i would just to be safe... But i am not sure it is a huge problem.. let me tag someone more knowledgeable on the subject @Wyorp Rock @casportpony @Eggcessive @EggSighted4Life

It could definitely cause an impacted crop. I’d switch to medium to large chips.

I don't think the bedding you have will hurt them at all. I had real fine bedding in mine also and they did great. As long as they have food and know where it is they should be fine.

They are fine..Supply so granite Grit if a concern.. in a separate dish.

If possible I'd switch to larger flake bedding. You can save this finer stuff for when they're older and a little less likely to accidentally eat it.

I agree and would use larger flakes. I use shavings in my chick/grow-out coop.

Are they eating a lot or just picking through it? You may want to add some larger flake to the mix or save the rest of the finer stuff for later.
Either way, provide chick grit (crushed granite) free choice.
