Help please

Corn stalks aren't something I like in food and corn. Since corn isn't good for them. But this new feed has corn stalks in it. Please tell me if this is bad.

Its all good!- Chickens can eat corn husks, the green leaves on the outside of a corn cob. They're not that high in nutritional value, but it's perfectly safe for them to eat.

That one feed we had decided to try was Country roads scratch grain.

I don't think that it is a complete feed.... Are you sure that it isn't scratch, as in the treat? I could be wrong....

Okay, makes sense. As long as they are getting the full nutrition they need.

I just read the info on it. It's not a complete feed. It's a "treat" or supplemental feed. You need to get them on a complete feed. If you want to give an occasional treat, that would not be my first choice either.

A 'scratch grain feed' is a bit of an oxymoron. Scratch grains are treats and should be fed as such. Your chickens won't get a complete, balanced diet if they only eat scratch.

Scratch is nothing but chicken candy. Get a good quality feed, offer oyster shell on the side, and ditch the scratch.
