HELP pleaseee!!!

Yayyyy!!! She is going under the EE its such a cute sight, so far only lil pecks here in there that they already do to each other sizzles don't even notice her mostly from the EE.. Our lil Mavis is like the same size as her hehe

Stressful for you but a necessary process for them. Be patient with them they will figure it out. Just watch for injuries or excessive pecking, blocking from food kind of behavior.

I think so far so good from what I am reading as you did not come across panicked.

they are now letting her snuggle with them.. Ooo my mommy comes out when i hear her squeak I just wanna scoop her up an protect her. They let her eat & drink fine an i pick her up to check over her to make sure nothing serious. Im hoping as time passes it will get better & better. Thanks for much for calming my nervous. I did a freak out point where I was thinking oh no what have I done

I think she will do just fine. Looks like the other little one is about the same size so should help her not get picked on.

Many many of us have been in the same panicked spot of saying "OH NO what have I done". You came to the right place to get great advice.

Mostly my OH NO moments are when I bring home even more chicks and realize the coop already is over flowing.
But hey they are so adorable ..... when 2 inches tall.

You're doing great, and so are your babies!

Try to learn something from this episode. The best "advisers" you can have for raising baby chicks are the chicks themselves.

All chicks are different, a lot like humans, and when people try to tell you what to do, it may or may not apply to the chicks you have because they have their own personalities.

Most baby chicks will accept newcomers during the first four weeks a long as they're also less than a month old. There are exceptions of course, but most chicks don't make a big fuss.

When the chicks get to be four weeks and older, you won't be able to add day-olds like you just did.

Now, follow your instincts, trust your babies to let you know what they need, like the new one did with its frantic peeping. You picked right up on it, didn't you?

Thank you guys again!! These words have truly helped, it was hard to sleep last night hoping nothing would happen to her. kept getting up an checking. Mavis which is the little yellow one is the same size as her she was the runt but man don't let that size full you ;)

One of my favorites has just been chasing baby around pecking at her.. It doesn't look like hard but i just couldnt take it anymore so she is currently sleeping snuggled in my shirt :/ someone is selling an eightweek old silkie in my area would that help at all would she play more momma to baby or would i be getting myself into even more hot water. Like my stomach feels sick to hear the baby cry when she gets pecked. Ive looked her over tons no owies thank goodness. Whats a good next step? The chick yesterday hasnt pecked her at all today, just another one that chases her to peck at her :/

Yeah, don't put these chicks with an 8 week old anything. She'd be too young to be motherly, and a chick that age takes pecking order way too seriously for these little ones. Just let them work things out. I know it's hard to see one getting chased around, but it's part of a chicken being a chicken. You can't change it, and you can't stop it. You just have to let them work out their own social order.
