This is the second morning I have found greenish/yellow and black bits poops from my pekin bantam rooster overnight. Before that everything was fine.

His condition seems to be worsening. Yesterday he was sitting around a bit so I am keeping him inside to rest but today his appetite is low. His comb looked floppy last night. He is drinking OK and still crowing some but is quite lethargic and won't eat much. I offered chopped pasta because he won't eat his feed but he only ate a small amount.

Is this coccidiosis or something else? No crop issues, his weight is fine, he isn't pale, no other chickens are affected. He is sixteen months old and he free ranges in my large garden day time and sleeps in a crate in the house at night. I am worried about him!

I'm not too sure about fecal diseases but I strongly recommend you take him to the vet to do a fecal exam.

What feed are they on? What else do you give them? Different foods can cause some strange poop. Try making a wet mash of some crumble, you can add some extra vitamins. (Nutridrench, poultry cell) Some electrolytes in the water won't hurt either. Check first thing in the morning and make sure the crop is emptying. Before any food is given.

I’ve been feeding mine zucchini and fresh veggies, my chickens have had green poop also, I figured it was from the zucchini!

Unfortunately there is no vet who will treat chickens near me. It is definitely not caused by something he is eating. He and the hens free-range in my garden and have free access to chicken grower feed (with oyster shells on the side). They get occasional treats of things like bread and fruits and veg but the rooster will give everything yummy to the hens.

I'm giving electrolytes and gave live Yogurt last night but he is still the same.

I keep a very close eye on my small flock so i quickly spot if someone is not acting well. Every morning Mr Pepper (the rooster) is bursting with hormonal energy to get outside to see his ladies but today he is content to sit quietly in his overnight crate. :(
