Help! Poorly Chicken! even vets don't know what's wrong!

We think it was something to do wuth the egg. Either egg bound or something like that. Because I wasnt able to identify what was up with her quickly enough the vets suggested we had her put down. She was one of my favourite hens and I am gutted but she had been in pain for to long and I didn't want to see her suffer. Thanks for everyones help
