Long story short
These eggs weren't in consistent temps/humidity until lockdown when I popped them in the incubator
Hatch day came and went they're on day 24 and this baby tried so hard pipping since day 19-20 but just couldn't get through it's shell only slight cracks at random spots on her egg and from all the research I did I decided yesterday to candle and there was absolutely no air sac n faint cheeps so I'm not sure how long she was in that state and decided to try chip away one of her cracks to make a breathe hole n a huge chunk of egg came off I was mortified
I used petroleum jelly to moisten n put her egg back on n put her back in the incubator but this is her tday!
She's cheeping a lot stronger now but she's shrink wrapping and I'm prepared to help her further but need advice!
Are her veins still too aparant to help?
Should I leave her longer?
Should I break thru her membrane a bit more?
Sorry first time assist and iv read the articles on assisted help hence why I had the confidence to try chip a piece away as I felt it necessary at the time!
Thankyou!
Edit to add
Iv peeled back someofthe driest membrane to fold over the outside of the shell n popped her back in the incubator il be patient n wait n see how she goes after time doing that
