hElp!!!! Predator fence argument between hubs and I!!

P.S. We went with 24" wire because we were cutting 48" wire in half. Because of bending it up to fasten onto the irregular sides of a coop that steps down a hill much of it ended up about 18".

Maybe compromise with 18"? That's 36" wire cut in half.
Ours is 48''x100' and the run is 7' at one end and 5' at the other. So he's trying to stay with what we will have left, which is 1' all the way around. I'm just concerned about the digger predators and how far they will go...

A 12" vertical instillation is usually considered effective. More labor, but maybe better than an ongoing argument. :)

I went 1 ft out with it and made a garden bed out of cinder blocks and/or wood over top of it. I've found holes in the garden beds but they're the same width as the hardware cloth so nothings got inside.Unless you find evidence of a predator trying to dig holes farther out theres no reason to make a 2 foot apron.
