I have been hatching my lovebird (Agapornis ficheri) eggs for about two years without major problems until it was about a month ago. Many of the embryos die in shell just before they hatch, No piping and it seems the yolk is not absorbed. I use an RCOM auto-turning incubator with 37.2 C (99 F) and 55% RH setting.

Does anyone have any idea what causes this? I have also attached a picture of my poor dead baby.

Thank you!

Thank you FoodFreedomNow! I suspect it is caused by nutrition but not sure which one.
I'm afraid I don't know know enough about lovebirds' nutritional needs to be able to opine...but if I suspected a deficiency in my poultry, I'd try a poultry multivitamin supplement to cover as many bases as possible (assuming the nutrients weren't already included in a formulated feed, or weren't at needed levels).

In case it's helpful: https://www.merckvetmanual.com/exot...s/pet-birds/nutritional-diseases-of-pet-birds.

Is it possible that a nutrient toxicity also causes the same symptom?
