The immediate concern, for now, should be focused on safeguarding the coop so subsequent deaths do not happen. Deaths will keep right on happening if nothing is done to ensure their safety at night. If you want more hens, go check on Craigslist, or contact a breeder near you. Pekins are not known for their broody skills anyway, so it's unlikely you'll be able to get her to sit.

Then, you can either breed them together and see what happhens, or slowly integrate the other male to the hen, letting them be out with each other a few times a day, and they may slowly start to bond with each other. That may or may not work, since she may already be bonded to your crested male.

My ducks were breeding way before the girls were laying. She most likely will not lay until next spring again. She’s taking winter off which is good for her body.
