Help! Proper humidity in brooder

Central Texas.

If you put that general location into you profile people can always give you better-targeted advice. :)

Here's an article for you in re: hot weather chickens: https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/hot-climate-chicken-housing-and-care.77263/

And this is my outdoor brooder: https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/run-to-outdoor-brooder-conversion.76634/

It might be easier to keep their temperature cool enough if you can move the setup to the coop. :) Ideally, they need a spot that is warm enough and a cool area to escape to.

They're just really precious and I didn't think I'd be this attached after 2 days. 😊I'm going to check out those articles and put my location in my profile.

Should I keep a close eye on them if the temp is ok now? I check on them every couple of hours normally. I'll have to close the garage enough so nothing big can get under it. Looks like the wind is picking up outside...typical Central Texas. I have the two fans going to circulate and it feels a little better.

If you've got the excess heat vented, the brooder covered, etc. it should be OK. :)

I'd check every 10 minutes because they're chicks, but they'll be fine without checking. The set up looks good enough.. relax and check the chicks to your hearts desire.
