i just got back from the man i bought them from and he gave me some sulphur stuff that he uses. he said to boil some rice and rinse it really well then add some of the sulphur to it and hand feed it to her. he uses rice because it holds moisture and gives the bird some liquid. i fed her several pieces by making her put them in her beak and then gave her several droppers full of water. she wasn't very happy about it at all, but i feel better knowing she had something in her! he said to feed some of the rice to the others too to dose them and do do it every other day for about 3 times. he said she should perk up after eating it a couple of times. he said he's used it on many of his chicks and he's been raising them for over 40 years!
she has been peeping more in the last 30 mins or so. he looked at her good and felt her over and smelled her and said it looks like a mild case of coccidis? (sp?) i trust him since he has like 100 chickens at his place and has been raising them so long!!! he's super knowledgeable! the feed store here (the only one for about 25 miles) was out of corid so i called him and he said bring her right over!
