ok i have removed the towels from the top, i have spread food around the brooder, some are huddled and some are running around the brooder, but usually they are running around and feeding.
its real heart breaking to wake up in the morning and find dead chicks.
im working today, my wife and boys will keep a close eye on them.
its about 22-24degrees in the garage.
Outside temps don't sound too bad. Seems like you are doing all you can. Forgot to ask where they shipped eggs or ones from your own quail? Mine aren't quite old enough to lay yet but i would be happy to send you some eggs to try again if you need them later on.
