Help! Quail piped but isn’t hatching!

I am 4 hours into day 18 of my first coturnix quail hatch and one of the eggs have piped. It has been like that for almost 24 hours now, at what point should i step in to see if it’s still alive, and if i could help it?

I routinely have them take ~30 hours, but feel free to poke it, just don't let the humidity drop much.

Also, we have noted a weird phenomena where the first chick to pip often passes away for some reason, even if all the subsequent ones are perfectly healthy.

Hatching is hard work! They don't need to come out too quickly, don't worry, the yolk keeps them fed.
