HELP! - Quails: Freezing to death? Heat stroke? Water freezing? Egads!

urbaner's idea sounds great. It would stop it freezing up. You would just have to have a waterer big enough to submerse the whole heater, but a great idea.

I use a coffee mug warmer and place a metal waterer on top. It's perfect ...and it kept the water from freezing even as we dipped near zero this week.
