I always used steam and a calcium overdose with my indoor finches. The extra calcium in their sysem helps with contractions. I used shaved cuttlebone in water, or a powdered calcium for reptiles. Just mixed it up with water and dropped it in the side of their mouth. Sometimes I would also add a little caro syrup for natural energy, to help them push. Then I would place their cage in the shower and let the steam do it's work, it gets them preening and gives them a little energy. I wouldn't let them get wet though. Then keep them warm that night, I had a hospital brooder. I had one little girl that had this problem about once every two months. She would usualy pass the egg the next day. I've spent 8 years helping people with indoor birds. It might help next time??? I'm sorry.
