Hello, I am new here and was just checking out the pictures. Looks like alot of beautiful chickens. but i thought yall was having a chicken calender not a calender of dogs. But any way nice pictures but most are just really staged and not natural environment and that is a shame because those staged pictures are more than likely going to end up as yalls calender not the ones of people that seen the beauty in their chickens doing what is natural without being involved or placed around dogs, or tea sets or flags .... oh well just saying. good luck to all the real chicken picture takers. Im Out

I thought all of the Pics of the chickens were just plain awesome and I'm sure almost everyone else thinks so too

Esp. the ones where the owners took the time and effort to setup a cute background or my favorite- chickens interacting with other pets !
After all its a chicken lovers calendar not a nature-y / tree hugger-y "chickens in the wild" calendar
Just sayin

^I noticed that you said that the pictures of the chickens were just plain awsome but didnt say nothing about the dogs, and as you said it is a calender of chickens not dogs. and like I said all the chickens were great.^

I'm OK with whatever pics made it into the calendar, even tho mine didn't. BYC members voted on which pictures they wanted in the calendar, so I think it's going to be very representative of everyone's desires.

Crap! I missed the voting.

Anyhow, the 45 that were in the running were very nice. Beautiful job folks!!!

I hope there are plenty of calendars available this year snce there are SO many BYC members now!!

I bet MOST of the pictures are NOT STAGED... Some people might follow their chickens around all day with a camera just waiting for the perfect picture/pose or who knows maybe some of them chickens really lay around all day in a basket, flower garden or just chill and hang out with their other chicken buddies. ~Oh and yes there really might be a chick that spends its time having Tea Parties... People really have some beautiful property, so yes that plays in their favor for great pictures. Either way, WHATS IT MATTER IF THE PICTURES ARE STAGED? Staged pictures aren't so easy to do all the time either. ~Here's a picture of my duckling oh what a ham she is, she loves riding her skateboard.

Not true, the pictures I submitted have been posted on BYC for at least a year.

I'm not a professional photographer either, I do have a decent camera and (I've been told) an eye for taking good shots of my birds... I love the chickens in the pictures I submitted, or I wouldn't have chose their pictures!
