Hey guys so about 6 months I bought 2 baby female sex links.I was told they where females.they where brown.so they grew up and now they are 6 months and it's October and yet no eggs or maturity being seen at all.there crowns are small.I hear one every morning crowing but I was told that females can do that too.there legs are yellow

Do you have any pictures? Pictures always help. We are coming to the time of year where yhey naturally slow down or stop laying. Also moltting season is upon us so that slows or stops egg production too. I know it stinks but they will lay as soon as they are ready. Sassy Birds!:barnie
 
I do see what appears to be 2 female Red Sex Link pullets.

I'm not sure who is crowing. The middle picture, the bird in the foreground closest, could be a rooster, but I can't see enough to tell.

If you hear crowing, you have a rooster. It is uncommon for a hen to crow (usually an older hen with henopause changes), nearly never for a pullet. If you hear a crow, it is male.
