Hi everyone! I’m hoping someone can help me out. I’ve noticed one of my girls is sounding sort of “wet” and crackly. She is also breathing a little louder than usual. She is eating/drinking normal. What can I do to prevent her from getting worse?? I have separated her from the rest of the flock and have given her some electrolytes as well.

How old is she?

Is her crop emptying?

When was her last egg? Any bloat or feeling of fluid in the abdomen below the vent between her legs?

Have you added any new birds recently?

I'd investigate to see if she's having any crop or reproductive problems.

She turned 1 in April. Laying fine, no new birds although we have chicks in the garage but they haven’t been around them since they’re only 4 weeks old. Crop is emptying fine I believe (I need to check again in the morning) and nothing unusual in her abdomen. She does have some poop on her butt but I think her poops have been normal? I have attached pictures of her butt and poop.
