Most people now recommend 1 to 1 1/2 tespoonsful per gallon now. Some older posts use the 1/2 tsp dose. I usually recommend the liquid Corid because the dosage is always 2 tsp/gallon, but the powder is easier to find.Oops, NM, I found it! 1/2 teaspoon per gallon!
A cocciostat is a medication put into some chicken feed (usually chick starter feed), or sold on its own as liquid or powder. Its purpose in feed is to help prevent coccidiosis, and its purpose as its own is to help treat coccidiosis. Coccidiostats are not antibiotics; instead, (at least I know Corid works this way), they work by depriving coccidia of certain vitamins and killing them that way.I missed this Part : What Is ~~ coccidiostat ?
I'll have to call my local feed store, see if they have the liquid Corid, if for nothing else then peace of mind!
