Help! Roman Tufted gosling can't walk

If you just got them Metzers will probably replace it so your little one can have a friend they really do need another to thrive. Very sorry. Get in touch with them asap

I have some coming on the 29th. Most likely I will have the find the girl gosling a home with friends right away. For now she's with some chicks and a duckling but the duckling ain't interested
I get interests fast on CL

In the mean time be sure to pick up some brewers yeast or nutritional yeast and begin adding to their feed niacin deficiency is very common in water fowl if they aren't fed a diet with sufficient amounts in it. 1 Tablespoon to 1 cup of feed. Hope you can find a good home for this little one with friends.

Another option is buying Duckling food. If you buy Duckling food, you know they will get all the nutrients they need, rather than giving foods to them they aren't ready for or don't have enough nutritional value.

Do you know where I can get GMO free or Organic chick/duckling/gosling feed?

I feed my geese and duck this organic duckling food, comes in crumbles and adult... http://www.efowl.com/Organic_Duck_Starter_Feed_p/4009.htm

I also feed Organic Kelp... http://www.efowl.com/Thorvin_Organic_Kelp_p/801-1133.htm

That along with clean water, some gro gel... http://www.efowl.com/GroGel_Plus_B_p/304-1373.htm

And fresh fruit and veggies from this list.... https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/242460/the-ultimate-list-of-duck-treats-and-supplements

I have healthy, growing and happy duck and geese. I do not, nor will I ever feed them chicken food or wild game food.

Now, I know a lot of people feed what I don't, that is their choice, and maybe it works for them! For me personally, being a first time hatcher and first time owner of duck and geese, I want to do it right, the first time. Meaning, I didn't want to worry about vitamin deficiency because I was feeding chicken feed and not duckling feed. I'm just following the goose/duck guidelines, and things are going well so far.

Well the little goose died

poor thing. Too quickly.
had been feeding millet, grass, dandelion, plantain, clover, smashed oats and crushed fish with an occasional boiled egg.

Well I guess I still need advice for the rest of the geese, this is my first year with them by the way.
Sorry you lost your gosling.... Please go purchase waterfowl crumbles or gamebird feed. Goslings as I have stated many times on here have different needs than chickens.

I would love to be able to feed water fowl feed to my water fowl none available in our area, so I use an all flock by Purina. never had a niacin issue but alot of folks have to use chick starter that's why we recommend supplementing with brewers yeast or niacin. Ordering on line can be cost prohibited for alot of people. Another thing to is when you have water fowl and other poultry who all feed together, it's not going to work feeding just water fowl food that another reason i use Flock Raiser it's designed for all poultry.

As of now my goslings and ducklings feed separate than my chickens do. My large pond is about 1/2 acre away from my chicken coop so I think they will always feed separately!!!! I that's the case I will keep everyone on their own feed!!! If not I will definitely move To an all flock feed!!!!! :) :) :)
