OK I set the eggs in my Brinsea ECO 20 and I was sure the temp said 99.3 but now I look again and all night it has been at 99.1... I just set them right before I went to bed at 11:00pm... So did I ruin my eggs???? Do you think they still might hatch? Experiances, or advuce anyone???? Thanks

99.1 is not much of a drop, I'm sure your eggs are just fine.
I would give it 24 hours after you add your eggs and check it again.
Do not make any adjustments until after you give the eggs a chance to heat up.

Patience, patience.

Well it's a small incubator that only hold 24 chick eggs so wouldn't the eggs be heated up after 8 hours at 99.1???

24 eggs is around 48 ounces of fluid that needs to heat up regardless of the size of the incubator.
8 hours is not a long time. Hang in there

Well now it reads right at 100 on the glass thermometer that is right under the fan at the top of the bator. Should I leave it or turn it down a tiny bit? If I do leave it when is to high that I need to turn it down??? Oh and I only have 14 eggs in the bator... Thanks

do you have a thermostate? It should shut the light off at 100 and back on around 97/98 but I use a homemade bator and a 60w bulb.

LEAVE IT ALONE. That is fine. Mine runs from 99.3 to 101 and they hatch great. This is not rocket science. That is why some people have bad hatches. Playing with temps, humidity, and candleing to much. I candle on day 18 and dump bad eggs. Aslong as you can get 99 to 100 it will be fine.

You don't even need to start worrying until the temp drops below 98* or over 101*. Just relax and enjoy, you have a ways to go yet.
