I got 2 babies. One was about 3-4 months and one was 6-8 weeks (last wasn’t sure about age). She told me they were both female.
The one in question is about 4 months now however I’m questioning if it is female. Here’s why
It jumps on the back of my hand while cleaning poop and bites (like mounting behaviour)
The poop looks more shaped than a plop
This morning a heard a noise almost like a sneeze but when I looked it was a crow (some of my hens do this when they are in the house)
The baby looks like it has saddle feathers

I attached a pic of when I got the baby and now.
If anyone can help it would be cool :)

Hahaha. I would but idk how my neighbor would feel me calling for Mark all the time. That’s her husbands name 😂
I’m hoping the lady I got them from will have a female for me. She had a shed full of them that were all different ages.

Looks like a slow maturing cockerel to me. Started crowing pretty late for a serama! Pretty boy.

@WoDia What do you think?
I agree with you, Fluffy… late-developing cockerel. Very pretty boy. The tail feathers are long and beginning to curve. The comb and wattles will come along a little later.

Thanks! If he is a boy he did mature pretty late! The older female bullies it 😢 and I will need to change the name. It’s Marabelle lol
Cockerels often get picked on, unfortunately.

Thank you. He’s a good bird but now I’m nervous putting him with my flock. I already have 3 Roos. One is very large and is handicap. I’m not sure what he would do.
Oh well, I may have to look into diapers and make him a house chicken.
