Here is a picture of some our SL young ones....the boy is on the right. Males get more of a "shield" of white feathers on their shoulders, while the girls pattern is more all around.
Hi Taini! How did you get on with people's predictions for their sex? I wouldn't hazzard a guess as I'm an extreme novice, but I have heard of an interesting possibilty for sexing them early on.....Get a small piece of cardboard and place it under the neck feathers. If the feathers are rather pointy, they're boys. If more rounded, girls. No idea if this is accurate, but it would be interesting to try it and see how it works out once you know for certain.
