Help! Shipped chicks arrived - 3 dead 4th puking slime! (warning graphic pic)

I would guess that orangey chick is your meal maker, probably some red production type.
The other one almost looks like a gold lakenvelder.
That other feather legged chick looks suspiciously like a buff brahma.
That little black one that died could be an extra lorp, it does seem small for a wyandotte, it really seems small for any of the black breeds you ordered.
Hope the other chicks are still doing well.

Glad Meyer is being helpful, nice to see a company do the right thing. Hope the rest of your chicks will be fine.
btw, if you have not already, I would stop giving them gro-gel if they have pasty butt, for some reason it seems to make it worse ime. You might try wetting down some of their feed and see if they eat it like that, for some reason that helps. Some scrambled or crumbled hard boiled egg might be a good supplement. Paint a little olive oil on the feathers around the vent if the problem is reoccurring. Stressed chicks seem to almost always get it, and these guys obviously had a hard time.

I gave the gel immediately then tossed it 6 hours later like the package said. They are eating and drinking well but I am getting reoccurring pasty butt on the same ones. Will try the olive oil and egg :)

I am brooding one of our pasty butt chicks under my chin and on my chest. Its the tiniest bit of a thing and desperately wants a momma. When all the others are quietly sleeping this one just hops around chirping looking lost. Once I pick him up and snuggle him up he goes fast asleep. She/he is a Salmon Faverolle.
