HELP SICK CHICK...

looks like a turkey to me. Is he under a heat lamp yet? Is he eating and drinking well. He looks kind of droopy and weak. Good luck with it! He is cute!

He's drinking some not sure how much he's eating, he is pooping though. Had a lamp over him last night, think he might have got to hot. I've had him outside today. He did quite a bit of running around just before that picture. Been using a dropper for water today, if he gets the hang of it I may mix some water with his feed and try dropper feeding him also. Think I'm going to leave him outside tonight with a heating pad in the bottom of his cage. Oh, noticed he's getting wing feathers!

Please don't dropper feed him give him bowls for his food and water. Put shiny marbles in it and he will peck at them. Don't make the water too deep though or he could drown. I would keep him inside all the time with the heat lamp. If he is too warm raise it higher over his box. Good luck!

When I had a dish in his cage with water (I used a jar lid) he would splash in it then being wet he got cold.

trying to keep good temp...Tanya

Best wishes with your new baby...out of curiosity, where in TN are you?

Our landlady keeps turkeys, maybe we could help with feed...we're in White Co..

He is not like a parrot chick or something. They need to eat and drink on their own. If you force it to drink with a dropper he could aspirate and die. Put a shallow bowl of water in there full of marbles. Gently dip his beak in it to show him that it is water. Put a separate dish with food. If you are unable to take care of this baby you should find someone who has experience and give it to them. Good luck!

Doing good today! Eating and drinking on his own, up and running around. Thank you for all your advice.

making it after all...Tanya

That is great! I'm glad he is doing so well. Maybe though you should try to find another poult to keep him company. He would do alot better with a baby of his own kind to keep him company. Good luck!
