Help sick chicken!

Going back to the nest box really sounds like a broody hen , calcium shells is a good idea, hope she is better, but broody hens wont lay eggs and stay in the nest box

Poor Betty. I’m sorry. The shell less eggs really wear them out. Can you provide a calcium supplement right away? Is she eating oyster shell? I’ve crushed a human calcium plus D over scrambled egg or even a crushed Tums in raw egg yolk for an emergency calcium boost. Repeated shell less eggs are a concerned. Is anyone acting sick otherwise? The soft eggs can be caused from anumber of different things. Is an avian Vet an option?
We use to have oats mixed in their feed, but we ran out thought it would not be a biggie if we didn’t re fill for a few days. Now realising that after we have run out we’ve noticed more shell less eggs.. could this be a a factor to the shell less eggs?

We don’t provide any extra calcium boost in their feed, should do that ASAP. No one of the other 3 ladies are sick or are showing any difference in their behaviour.

Don’t have an avian vet close by. Any advise is appreciated. Thank you

Thank you thank you everyone who took tome to send a message, Betty perked up during the afternoon and is back to her normal self today. Jst have to keep an eye, give xtra calcium as advised and hopefully she’ll be all good!
