My babies arrived in the mail yesterday and 14 of 15 are doing fine. I have one little one that's eyes aren't open, it's weak and lethargic and not eating or drinking. I know there is a mortality rate to keets but I'd like to try to save it. Can anyone help me?

I would try to get some poultry Nutri Drench into it ASAP. Can't tell you how many times that's helped me save a failing chick. If that is not available to you or you can't get it until tomorrow, give it some sugar water and some electrolytes (Gatorade for electrolytes is fine).

Ok I ran to gas station for Gatorade. I will stop some where for the other tomorrow. I checked 2 places for electrolyte stuff today but couldn't find it. Thank you for your response. I also gave it water mixed with molasses (I'm a retired paramedic so I guessed it needed sugar).

Excellent! Nutri Drench is based in molasses, it's one of the things that makes it work so fast.

Now just make sure it's staying warm enough and try to keep getting it fluids, but don't force it because you don't want it to aspirate. If it seems like it's getting run over etc by the other more vigorous keets you might want to give it its own brooder until it recovers.

I put him back with his pals for the night. I've been keeping him in the little box he shipped in (with minor modifications). Thank you so much for your help. I posted on multiple sites and you were the only one to respond!
