you got it!
UPDATE: So this is treatment four of the Monistat. It doesn't seem to be helping. I have tried to make her vomit but nothing comes up. She does not want to eat or drink either. She is pooping once a day first thing in the morning and it is green and white and soft but not runny. I put her out with the other chickens yesterday because she seemed lonely and I was hoping it would encourage her to eat and drink, which it did. I put her in a covered pen with her food and water. I'm thinking of doung to same today. Is that ok?

If she did have sour crop, the meds should have worked. Is her crop at least partially full at night? Is she still gasping for air? She may have a respiratory issue that is deep in the air sacs not so much upper respiratory. Check her eyes for bubbles and her nares for running or plugging. If that is all good, she may need antibiotics ( I hate it when it comes to this). Put your ear to her back and see what you hear. If you have any VetRx, use it to ease her breathing until we figure out what she has. Take a Q tip soaked in Vet Rx and press it into the cleft of her mouth, soak the other end and circle her eyes and press into nares. Don't vomit her anymore right now. If you don't find any actual respiratory distress, she may have tumors or something. That's a different ball of wax. Let us know what you find.

Her eyes look fine and no runny discharge. I just checked her and her crop is almost empty amd her lungs sound clear. I massaged her crop really well this morning and heard and felt what sounded like a popping sound and a bubble both in the lower and upper part of her crop. Her crop seems to be empty in the mornings and partially empty when I put her to bed. She sounds better tonight then previous nights. I gave her another dose of Monistat. I will give another update tomorrow and will hold off on antibiotics for another day or two. Thank you.:hugs

Update: my hen is doing much better and seems to have turned the corner after the 5th dose. I will continue to give her the last 3 doses to make sure she's clear. Thanks so much for your help and reassurance.

Well that is wonderful, so glad she is on the mend! Give an update when she is all better and filling her crop at night again?

Yes, so relieved. She is back to herself and ruling the roost again. Her breathing is normal and her crop is empty each morning. Thanks again for all the advice!
