help! sick peacock

He did not send off anything. I have a microscope too. I am hoping for a big improvement with the antibiotics. Here's a picture of him at the vets.

I also noticed while he was there that he has bugs.

Is poultry dust good enough for that?? I was going to give him a few days to get stronger first. I have seven dust at home if that is OK??

I am so glad to hear that your beautiful boy is on the road to recovery.

I know from experience that it's a relief to go to the vet and find out exactly what you are dealing with and how to treat it.

He is a handsome boy. What kinda bugs are you seeing on him? I think Sevin dust should be fine. If it were me, I would dust him ASAP. Let's see what everyone else suggests.

He will make a speedy recovery. He will be back to his old self in no time. Good job!

I just read somewhere that Sevin Dust is no longer "approved" for use in poultry, but I'm sure he'd feel better if he were bug free. If he were mine, I would dust him with the poultry dust that they sell at TSC.

FWIW, whenever I have one that's sick, dusting and worming are done right after a thorough exam.
