I have a yellow quail chick that has started looking really tired and unwell today, its seems really droopy when it does move around who’s is rare at the moment, it’s constantly wants to sleep and keeps trying to burry it’s self under the shavings and other chicks. It’s not eating even when I put it in a tray of food and it only drinks when I force it to have some honey water from a dropper even then it only has a drop and leets the rest just drip off. HELP I don’t want it to die

When I go near the box all the others perk up and start running around but that one just keeps laying there and doesn’t even lift it’s head. After I pick it up to try give it honey water when I put it back in it seems really cold and tries to reach up towards the heat lamp but it keeps drooping and falls down

What's the temp under the heat lamp? As the others seem well I don't assume it's terribly low, but I'd put the lamp a little closer to the chicks anyway, as this one seems cold. I'd keep up the honey water - a couple of drops every hour or so. I've never had any luck keeping weak chicks alive, but a lot of people on here have, so hopefully they'll chime in and give you some hints..

Thanks, Ive done exactly that. I’ve already lost 2 which acted the same but I had important places I needed to be and wasn’t able to give them the care they needed, I’m just scared it won’t last the night it’s almost 10pm already and I’m already suffering from lack of sleep so getting up every 2 hours to give it the honey water will distroy me but hopefully the chick will survive the night. It’s not eating at all, what should I do about that?

Unfortunately the little chick just passed away. I have no idea why they are dying. Any ideas are welcome as I don’t want to lose any more

Did the other chicks have similar symptoms before passing? One or two might be chalked up to genetics/luck, but three could be something in their environment. I hope your other chicks stay healthy.

Same problem. I had 4 chicks grew 5 weeks old and suddenly started dying. Now only 2 left and one of them is not well. I have cleaned their places and did everything but no use.
