Good to hear the others are doing well so far and that you feel you are learning what to look for with this disease. It can be quite confusing with having so many possible symptoms and each case potentially exhibiting different ones but you do get a feel for it after you have seen a few.

Best wishes for your silkie project in the future. Just remember the disease can travel on your clothing, shoes, hair and skin, so it will be challenging avoiding cross contamination, especially as silkies are more like pets and you want to handle them more frequently. I know I couldn't be disciplined enough to maintain biosecurity and if you have children it will be difficult for them to remember to wash hands and change clothes and cover hair between pens.

Regards

Barbara
