Sorry for your loss. Did your vet tell you that necropsies are free in CA? You probably wanted to bury him, which I understand, just thought you should know about the free necropsies.

I have had a hen who died and I asked for a necropsie last year. She turned out to have reproductive cancer. Anyways; I thought about it for Oreo but decided to take his body home and bury him.

He is now at peace and has become your personal chicken angel,to look after you and the rest of your flock for all eternity.
