I have a 4 week old Bourbon Red turkey that sneezes all the time, has cruddy eyes and mucus coming out of its beak. I gently wipe it's nose and eyes with warm water, but it doesn't help much. Most of the time one or both eyes are crusted shut. Help!!!

Virus or Bacterial, 99% of respitory problems are quite contageous. If you have a big flock you should be on the watch.
My turkey had something different, it was the puffball eye and snot. She recovered really fast though and I was relieved only the tom got it next and only half as bad.

Also be careful about the Tylan 50 it doesnt help for some infections and doesnt do anything to viral entities. Dont use it on any other birds if it does nothing for the first, because that means you have a virus or gram negitive bacterium. (Tylan 50 dont work on those)

When I treated my birds I gave them one smaller dose of Enroflacxin and waited to see if there was any effect. When I saw improvement I gave the rest of the single dose and then left it to the bird to finish the infection off.
Shows me shes a tough bird and lowers the chance of overtreating as well as the creation of drug resistant strains.

She did great and the tom didnt need anything to kick the bugger.

Good luck to you both.

Sounds like a respiratory problem. It is contagious. Tylan 50 works great. Please separate the sicks birds from the healthy birds. The healthy birds will get it if not. Good Luck.

I ended up getting Bayril from the vet and they all seem to be doing fine...BUT I just found the youngest one with a twisted leg and it limps around. Don't know what to do???
