Today is day 21 and Im in the process of hatching 14 silkies. One of the last ones pipped but spend hours and hours with no activity. I decided to rescue it and the membrane was dry, which was preventing it from getting out of the egg.
Anyways so I noticed this reddish nodule coming out of its vent and wanted to know what it is, if it is dangerous, causes, etc.
Oh and this particular silkie had a very very large vaulted skull. Just throwing that out there just in case that is associated with anything.
