I've attached a zip file with a video of my 13-year old Rhode Island Red sneeze-coughing. It has increased in frequency over the past few days and now she's also quietly whimpering between sneezes. I couldn't catch the whimpering on video as it's so quiet. She is otherwise healthy: eating, drinking, pooping, bright and alert. I have two other chickens who aren't displaying any symptoms and are completely healthy as well. Is there anyone who recognizes this? Thank-you!

Post your video to You tube first. Then copy the URL and paste it here. The video will embed and we can then watch it here.

Your hen probably has a respiratory illness. Tylan 50 is the best med for this. It's best ordered online https://www.valleyvet.com/ct_detail.html?pgguid=30E07BC1-7B6A-11D5-A192-00B0D0204AE5 or you can call around to Tractor Supply stores.

Dose is .5ml twice a day for five days. Use a needle syringe to pull the dose out of the vial, then remove the needle and give to the chicken orally.

so we cant see the video but you can try posting it to youtube and choose the option to let it only be viewed if you have the link and post that link here.

has it been cold, rainy or windy lately? and does your flock have a history of respiratory problems?

(not a vet its a nickname)
